一.  星期的拼法與用法

1.  星期是專有名詞,要大寫,常以前面三個字母加上縮寫點,而形成縮寫式.

星期是專有名詞,前面不能有冠詞(a/an/the)或所有格.

星期常固定與on(介系詞)連用,形成介系詞片語(介片),具有形容詞/副詞的詞性,

置於名詞/代名詞/動詞...的後面,向前修飾(即後位修飾).

2.  一週七天的拼法和縮寫式

(日)Sunday(Sun.); (一)Monday(Mon.); (二)Tuesday(Tue.)

(三)Wednesday(Wed.); (四)Thursday(Thu./Thur.);

(五)Friday(Fri.); (六)Saturday(Sat.)

      * 一星期的第一天是: Monday(x)/Sunday(0)

      * 週末是: Saturday(六)+Sunday(日),合稱為weekend

   3. 介系詞是表示時間/位置/場所/方向的詞,後面接名詞/代名詞(受格),

      做受詞,形成介系詞片語(介片),只能做後位修飾.

例1. 在五點十分(5:10)  at five-ten

1.1 在上午六點十五分(6:15)   at six-fifteen a.m./in..the..morning

 1.2在早上  in the morning

1.3在星期一上午  in(x)/on(0)Monday morning

例2. 在中午  at noon

2.1在星期天中午  at(x)/on(0)Sunday noon

例3. 在傍晚  in the evening

3.1在星期二傍晚  in(x)/on(0)Tuesday evening

例4. 在夜裡  at night;  in the night

4.1 在星期三夜裡  at(x)/in(x)/on(0)Wednesday night

例5. 在週末  on the weekend

5.1 每逢週末  on weekends(pl.); every weekend(單數)

例6. 在週四  on Thursday

6.1 在週四早/午/晚/夜  in(x)/on(0)Thursday morning/noon/

                       afternoon/evening/night

6/2 每逢週四  on Thursdays(pl.); every Thursday(單數)

6/3 每逢週四夜  on Thursday nights(pl.); every Thursday night(單數)

例7. 在莘蒂的生日  on Cindy’s birthday

7.1 在莘蒂12歲的生日  on Cindy’s twelfth(12th)birthday

7.2 在仙蒂的生日派對上  on(x)/at(0)Sandy’s birthday party

7.3 在仙蒂8歲的生日派對上  at Sandy’s eighth(8th)birthday party

二. 星期的問答與應用句型

  例1.今天星期幾?  What day is today?/it?/it..today?

今天禮拜四.It’s Thursday today.; Today..is/Today’s Thursday.

例2. 今天星期二.  我的音樂課在星期五.

Today is Tuesday.         My music(class) is on Friday.

例2.1現在是5點半.  表演是在6點整.

It’s half past five now.      The show is at six o’clock.

例3. 一星期有幾天? (簡/詳答) How many days are there in a week?

Seven (days).           There are 7 days in a week.

例4.一星期有哪些天?  What are the days of the week?

它們是星期日,一,二,…六.  They’re Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday,  

                          Thursday, Friday and Saturday.

例5.星期幾是一週的第一天?  What day is the first day of the week?

是星期曰. Is(x)/It’s(0)Sunday.      =      Sunday is.

例6.一星期的最後一天是禮拜幾? What day is the last day of the week?

是週六. Is(x)/It’s(0)Saturday.      =      Saturday is.

例7.星期三是在星期二之前嗎?  Is Wednesday before Tuesday?

不,在星期二之後. No, it’s after Tuesday.

例8.星期天不是在星期一之後嗎? Isn’t..Sunday/Is..Sunday..not after Monday?

 不.是在星期一之前. No. It’s before Monday.

例9.星期幾在星期六之前? What day is/comes before Saturday?

是週五. It’s Friday.      =     Friday is.(0)/comes.(x)/does.(0)

例10.星期幾在星期二之後? What day is/comes after Tuesday?

是週三. It’s Wednesday.    =    Wednesday is.(0)/comes.(x)/does.(0)

三.季節的問答與應用句型

例1. 現在是什麼季節? 是冬天. What season is it?        It’s winter.

例2. 一年有幾個季節? (簡/詳) How many seasons are there in a year?

    Four(seasons).        There are four seasons in a year.

例3. 一年有哪四季? 它們是春,夏,秋,冬. What are the seasons of the year?

     They’re spring, summer, fall/autumn, and winter.

例4. 哪一季是一年中的第一季? What season is the first season of the year?

是春天. Is(x)/It’s(0)spring.     =     Spring is.

例5. 哪一季是一年中的最後一季? What season is the last season of the year?              是冬天. Is(x)/It’s(0)winter.    =     Winter is.

例6. 夏在春之前嗎? 不,是在春之後.Is summer before spring?  No, it’s after spring.

例7. 夏不在秋之後嗎? 不,在秋之前.Isn’t summer after fall?    No, it’s before fall.

例8. 哪一季在春之前? What season is/comes before spring?

是冬天. Is(x)/It’s(0)winter.   =   Winter is.(0)/comes.(x)/does.(0)

例9. 哪一季在春之後? What season is/comes after spring?

是夏天. Is(x)/It’s(0)summer.   =   Summer is.(0)/comes.(x)/does.(0)

例10.你最喜歡哪個季節? What’s your favorite season?

我最喜歡秋天. My favorite season’s fall./autumn.
